- Demonstrates a keen interest in understanding the 'why' behind procurement processes.
- Can manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently without constant supervision.

Junior Buyer / Purchasing Assistant
2-4 yearsSkills to master
- Taking ownership of smaller, routine purchases, learning basic negotiation tactics, understanding supplier selection criteria, and getting comfortable with an ERP system. Starting to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully managed a portfolio of low-value sourcing events independently.
- Achieved small but measurable cost savings through negotiation.
- Can articulate the rationale behind supplier choices.
- Receives positive feedback from internal teams on responsiveness and support.

Supply Chain Analyst (with procurement focus)
2-4 yearsSkills to master
- Developing strong data analysis skills, understanding supply chain logistics, and using data to identify cost-saving opportunities or efficiency gains. This path is more analytical.
You're ready to move on when
- Proficient in using Excel and potentially a BI tool for spend analysis.
- Identified and presented data-driven insights that led to actionable recommendations.
- Understands the end-to-end supply chain process and procurement's role within it.
- Can clearly communicate complex data findings to non-technical audiences.
