Courses

The course sets the standard. Zavmo makes you do it on your own work.

These are real, regulated UK awards, made by the bodies named against them. What Zavmo adds is application: each unit is taught through the work in front of you this week, so you practise on your own job instead of on a worked example about somebody else.

How Zavmo makes a course applied

You could take any of these somewhere else and learn the same syllabus. Six things would be different if you did it here.

Taught against the work in front of you

A unit on managing conflict is taught through the conversation you are dreading on Thursday. A unit on budgets is taught through the one you are actually writing. You are not learning the theory now and applying it later, because there is no later.

Your own examples are the case studies

Zavmo asks what you did, what happened, and what you would do differently. That is the material the teaching runs on. It means the answers cannot be looked up, and it means the learning lands on the job rather than beside it.

Feedback on what you actually did

Not a mark out of ten on a hypothetical. You get a read on the real decision you made this week, against the standard the unit is built from, while the situation is still live enough to do something about.

It knows your sector and your job title

The same unit is taught differently to a practice manager and to a site supervisor, because the work is different. Zavmo starts from the role you actually hold, in your own language, at the level you are genuinely at.

The evidence stacks up as you go

Because the practice is your real work, the record of it is real evidence. The report you wrote, the ticket you closed, the grievance you handled: mapped to the units as you do them, not reconstructed from memory in week eleven.

And it builds Future Fluency alongside

The award proves you can do the job as it is defined today. Underneath it Zavmo builds the ten fluencies that hold their value as the work automates. That layer is ours, and it is why two people holding the same certificate are not in the same position.

A unit, taught as a conversation

The thinking ladder on the left is the level the answer is being pitched at. The panel on the right is the assessment criteria that answer has just evidenced.

The evidence, as it stacks up

Each module with the lessons completed against it, the band of thinking it has reached, and the credits it carries.

Three parties, and it matters which is which

  1. 1 You pick the course. Open the one you are aiming at and you can see the units it is made of, the roles it opens and the level it sits at, before you commit a single evening to it.
  2. 2 Zavmo coaches you through it. The teaching, the mapping, and a standards-compliant record of what you covered and what you can show for it.
  3. 3 The awarding body awards it. Assessment and the certificate belong to them. A qualified human assessor makes the decision, which is exactly why the certificate is worth having.

Worth being plain about: Zavmo is not an awarding body and is not an approved centre. Every body named on this page is an organisation that awards these qualifications on the Ofqual register. Naming them says who awards what. It does not say they endorse us. When we hold a centre agreement, this page will say so and name it.

Or start from the level you are at

If you are not sure which level that is, Zavmo works it out with you in the first session rather than asking you to guess.
