The scoreboard, honestly: the hard targets, how often each one is actually looked at,
and the quiet human signals that never make it onto a dashboard.
Purchase Order (PO) Accuracy Rate
The percentage of purchase orders you create that are free from errors (e.g., wrong quantity, incorrect price, missing Incoterms).
Target · > 99.0%If you create 50 POs in a week and only one has a minor typo in the supplier's address, that's a 98% accuracy rate. We're aiming for near perfection here, honestly, because small errors cause big headaches down the line.
On-Time Document Submission
How often you get crucial shipping documents (like packing lists, commercial invoices, or booking confirmations) from suppliers or forwarders and file them or pass them on by the required deadline.
Target · > 95%If a supplier needs a packing list by Tuesday for a Friday shipment, and you get it and share it by Tuesday, that's a win. Missing it means potential delays at port, which we really want to avoid.
Data Entry Accuracy
The precision of the information you enter into our ERP system (like SAP) or tracking spreadsheets, covering things like shipment dates, quantities, and customs codes.
Target · > 99.5%Entering '1000 units' instead of '100 units' into the system can cause a massive headache for the warehouse. Getting the HS code wrong means customs issues. We'll be looking for very few of these kinds of mistakes.
Response Time to Internal Queries
How quickly you respond to requests for information from internal teams (e.g., 'Where's that shipment?' from the Planning team).
Target · < 2 hours for urgent, < 4 hours for routineIf the warehouse calls asking about a missing delivery note, getting back to them within an hour with an update (even if it's 'I'm chasing it now') is much better than them waiting half a day.
Adherence to Process & Procedures
How consistently you follow our established steps for tasks like PO creation, shipment tracking, and document management. This isn't about being a robot, but about understanding why we do things a certain way.
- You'll be able to explain the steps for a given task without much prompting. Your work will consistently follow the documented process. When issues arise, you'll refer to the process first rather than trying to invent a new way.
Proactive Communication (Internal)
Your willingness to share updates or flag potential issues with your manager or team members *before* they become urgent problems. It's about keeping people in the loop.
- You'll send an email to your manager saying, 'Just noticed Supplier X is running a day late on the packing list, I'm chasing them.' You won't wait for someone to ask you for an update. You'll ask questions when you're unsure, rather than guessing.
Learning & Development
Your eagerness to learn new systems, processes, and industry knowledge, and how quickly you apply that learning to your daily tasks.
- You'll ask thoughtful questions during training. You'll show improvement in your accuracy and speed over time. You'll be able to take on slightly more complex tasks with less supervision after a few months. You'll actually read the Incoterms guide we give you, not just skim it.
Team Support & Collaboration
How well you work with your immediate team, offering help when needed and being receptive to feedback.
- You'll offer to help a colleague if you finish your tasks early. You'll take feedback on board without getting defensive. You'll contribute positively in team meetings, even if it's just asking clarifying questions.
