You're ready to move on when
- Consistently achieving budget targets and high tenant satisfaction scores for your property.
- Successfully leading at least one major CapEx project from start to finish.
- Demonstrating informal mentorship of junior staff or new hires.
- Taking initiative on complex problem-solving without constant supervision.

Facilities Manager (Large, Complex Asset) to Portfolio Manager (L4)
5-7 years as a Facilities ManagerSkills to master
- Deep expertise in building systems, preventative maintenance, vendor management, and health & safety compliance for a significant asset. You'll need to translate that technical know-how into broader operational leadership.
You're ready to move on when
- Proven track record of optimising building performance and reducing operational costs.
- Strong experience managing multi-million pound service contracts and vendor relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a large on-site team and manage complex facilities projects.
- A clear understanding of the financial implications of facilities decisions.
