You can approve standard refunds that fall strictly within policy, usually up to £500, without manager sign-off. Anything outside policy or higher value needs escalation. You have full authority for standard refunds and can approve exceptions up to £5,000, using your judgment based on customer history and business impact. You'd consult with a Director for anything above that.
Changing a product's disposition code (e.g., from 'Refurbish' to 'Scrap') None. You'll enter the code as instructed. If you spot something that looks wrong, you must flag it to your manager. You can change disposition codes for specific product categories or under predefined conditions (e.g., clearly damaged items) up to a certain value, say £200, based on established guidelines. You have full authority to make disposition changes based on real-time market conditions, cost-benefit analysis, or quality reports, up to £5,000 per item, without direct approval. You'd consult with a Lead for larger decisions.
Selecting a shipping carrier for a return None. You'll generate labels using the pre-selected carrier for that return type/region. You can select alternative carriers for specific, non-standard returns if the primary carrier is unavailable or if there's a clear cost-saving opportunity, within a pre-approved list of carriers. You can negotiate rates with new carriers for specific lanes or product types, and make recommendations for overall carrier strategy, influencing spend up to £50K annually.
