Global Capital Plan ROI & Adherence
We invest heavily in our buildings. This metric tracks whether those investments (new builds, major renovations, critical system upgrades) deliver the expected financial returns or meet crucial risk mitigation objectives, and if we stick to the budget.
Target · Ensure all major capital projects (over £500K) deliver >15% IRR or achieve defined strategic/risk objectives, with <5% budget variance.A £5M data centre upgrade project that prevents 20 hours of downtime, saving £10M in potential lost revenue, delivered 2% under budget.
Critical Systems Uptime & Business Continuity
For our most important sites (data centres, labs, key operational hubs), we can't afford any downtime. This measures how reliably our critical infrastructure performs and how quickly we recover from any incidents.
Target · Maintain 99.999% uptime for critical infrastructure, with all business continuity plans tested and validated annually.Following a regional power outage, our backup systems kicked in seamlessly, ensuring zero impact on operations for our Dublin data centre, as per the business continuity plan.
Global Energy & Carbon Footprint Reduction
Our commitment to sustainability is serious. This tracks our progress in reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions across our entire global portfolio, aligning with our ESG goals.
Target · Achieve a 5-10% year-on-year reduction in global energy consumption and Scope 1 & 2 carbon emissions.Implementing LED lighting upgrades and optimising BMS schedules across 20 sites in EMEA, resulting in a 7% reduction in regional energy use and a corresponding drop in carbon emissions.
