- Consistently hitting 120%+ of quota, leading complex deals, informal mentoring of junior reps, taking initiative on team projects, understanding the broader sales strategy.
You're ready to move on when
- You're the 'go-to' person for newer reps when they have questions.
- You've shown strong leadership on internal projects or initiatives.
- You consistently exceed your individual targets and bring in large, strategic deals.
- You proactively identify process improvements or training needs for the team.

Team Lead / Player-Coach (External Hire or Internal Move)
2-4 years in a similar player-coach roleSkills to master
- Balancing individual sales targets with team coaching, running effective pipeline reviews, basic performance management, understanding sales operations and reporting.
You're ready to move on when
- You've successfully managed a small book of business while also guiding other reps.
- You're comfortable with both individual selling and team-level reporting/forecasting.
- You've demonstrated an ability to motivate and develop others, even without formal authority.

Sales Operations Specialist (Transition)
5-7 years in Sales Ops, then moving into managementSkills to master
- Deep understanding of sales data, CRM administration, process optimisation, sales analytics, and a strong commercial acumen from working closely with sales teams.
You're ready to move on when
- You're known for your analytical prowess and ability to spot trends in sales data.
- You've built and maintained sales dashboards and reports that inform strategic decisions.
- You have a strong understanding of sales methodologies and how they translate into CRM processes.
- You've partnered closely with sales leaders and understand their day-to-day challenges.
