- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives at a regional level.

Senior Technical Services Manager (L4/L5, specialising)
5-7 years at L4/L5Skills to master
- Deep technical expertise in a critical area (e.g., M&E, energy management) applied across a national portfolio. Leading complex technical projects, setting technical standards, and influencing strategic technical direction. This path often requires broader leadership exposure.
You're ready to move on when
- Architected and implemented a major technical solution (e.g., national BMS upgrade) with significant business impact.
- Recognised as the company's leading expert in a critical technical domain, advising executive leadership.
- Successfully managed technical teams and complex technical projects (e.g., £1M+ capital projects).
- Developed and embedded new technical standards or compliance frameworks across the organisation.

Director-level role in a smaller/specialist FM company
Direct move, often with 15+ years experienceSkills to master
- Bringing a broad range of strategic and operational leadership skills from a smaller organisation, with a focus on scaling those capabilities to a larger, more complex business unit.
You're ready to move on when
- Proven experience as a Director of FM, even if in a smaller scale, with full P&L and strategic accountability.
- Demonstrable ability to adapt and scale leadership skills to a larger, more diverse property portfolio.

- Evidence of driving significant business growth or transformation in previous roles.
