- Consistently delivering high-quality, commercially focused legal advice on complex matters without significant oversight.
- Proactively identifying and mitigating legal risks for your assigned business areas.
- Demonstrating strong leadership potential through informal mentorship and project leadership.
- Successfully managing external counsel for specific matters and adhering to budgets.
- Contributing to the development of legal templates and playbooks.

Senior Associate / Counsel (Private Practice)
8-10 years PQE in a reputable law firmSkills to master
- You'll have gained extensive experience advising a diverse client base on complex legal issues, often specialising in a particular area (e.g., corporate, commercial, IP, litigation). You'll have experience managing client relationships, supervising junior lawyers, and running your own matters. The transition focuses on adapting to an in-house commercial environment and leading a small team.
You're ready to move on when
- Extensive experience in a relevant legal specialism, handling high-value or complex matters.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver practical, actionable advice.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers within the firm.
- A desire to move from external advisor to internal business partner, with a focus on a single organisation's needs.

Legal Manager (Other In-House Team)
8-12 years PQE, including 2+ years in a team lead roleSkills to master
- You'll have already gained experience leading a small legal team or a specific legal function in another in-house environment. The focus here is on adapting to our specific industry, business model, and legal culture, and bringing your leadership experience to our team.

- Demonstrable experience leading and developing a small legal team.
- A track record of implementing process improvements and managing legal budgets.
- Strong understanding of general commercial law and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- A keen interest in our industry and a desire to contribute to our specific business challenges.
