- Consistently received positive feedback from C-suite and Board members on strategic contributions.
- Developed and mentored multiple high-performing leaders within your function.
- Demonstrated the ability to represent the company externally on complex sustainability issues.

Head of Corporate Affairs / Chief Communications Officer (with strong ESG remit)
7-12 years at this level before CSOSkills to master
- Exceptional external communication, reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and crisis management. You'd need to deepen your technical understanding of ESG frameworks, data, and operational integration beyond just messaging.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully navigated complex reputational challenges with an ESG dimension.
- Built strong relationships with key external stakeholders (media, NGOs, investors).
- Played a central role in shaping the company's public narrative around sustainability.

Consulting Partner (Sustainability Practice)
5-10 years as Partner before CSOSkills to master
- Developing and selling large-scale sustainability strategies to diverse clients, managing complex client relationships, and building thought leadership. You'd need to transition from an advisory role to an in-house execution and leadership role, navigating internal politics and resource constraints.
