8-10 years in engineering/quality roles, with 3-5 years focused on compliance/auditingSkills to master
- Deep understanding of specific industry regulations (e.g., pharmaceutical, aerospace), experience with formal management systems, and a proven track record in process improvement and validation.
You're ready to move on when
- Direct experience with external regulatory inspections or certification audits.
- Strong technical understanding of operational processes and their control points.
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into auditable compliance criteria.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to resolve quality or safety issues.

5-8 years as an external auditorSkills to master
- Expertise in multiple ISO standards, strong interviewing and evidence-gathering techniques, and the ability to critically assess management systems across diverse organisations.

- Holding a recognised Lead Auditor qualification for multiple ISO standards.
- Experience auditing a variety of industries and organisational sizes.
- A desire to move from assessing compliance to actively building and improving internal programmes.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with internal stakeholders at all levels.
