How Zavmo tutors Open College Network Northern Ireland qualifications

Open College Network Northern Ireland awards these from Entry Level to Level 5, and most of them at Level 1. Whichever one you take, you take it with a personal tutor rather than a course to work through alone. That is the whole design, and it is not a preference. Students taught one to one, by a tutor who adapts to them, do markedly better than the same students in a normal class. It has been known for forty years. A unit is taught through what is actually on your desk this week, not through a worked example about somebody else. The practice is your job, so the learning lands on it.

A tutor that changes with the moment

Explaining something for the third time is a different job from pushing you when you are coasting, and one voice cannot do both. Zavmo changes how it teaches to match what you need that day.

Evidence that builds as you go

The report you wrote and the problem you solved are mapped to the units while you are doing them, so the record is real work rather than something reconstructed at the end.
