- Deep expertise in a specific framework (e.g., React), strong understanding of API integration, build tooling, and overall application architecture. You'd need to pick up the deeper UX/accessibility focus.
You're ready to move on when
- Proven ability to build and maintain complex web applications end-to-end.
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams.
- A clear interest and some self-taught knowledge in UX, design systems, and accessibility.

5-8 yearsSkills to master
- Excellent visual design and interaction design skills, user research, prototyping. You'd need to significantly deepen your coding expertise, especially in component architecture, performance, and advanced JavaScript frameworks.

- A portfolio showcasing both strong design sensibilities and implemented code examples.
- Understanding of design system principles from a design perspective, with some coding contributions.
- A passion for bridging the gap between design and development.
- Proven ability to translate design specifications into functional prototypes and production code.
