3-5 years in a Senior FA roleSkills to master
- Consistently exceeding NNA targets, building a strong book of HNW clients, demonstrating informal leadership by mentoring junior advisors, and actively contributing to office initiatives.
You're ready to move on when
- You're the go-to person for complex client issues among your peers.
- You've successfully brought in several new HNW client relationships through your own efforts.
- You're regularly sought out by junior advisors for guidance and advice.
- You've started to build a small, reliable COI network.
- You're proactively suggesting ways to improve client service or sales processes.

From Private Banker / Relationship Manager (External)
8-12 years in a similar client-facing role at another private bank or wealth managerSkills to master
- Transferable skills in UHNW client relationship management, a strong existing book of business (or clear potential to build one quickly), and a deep understanding of complex financial products and planning.
You're ready to move on when
- You have a portable book of UHNW clients or a robust pipeline of prospects.
- You're comfortable with a sales-driven compensation model.
- You've successfully navigated a move between financial institutions before.
- You can articulate how your current experience directly translates to our firm's UHNW offering.

From Specialist Professional (e.g., Tax Advisor, Solicitor)
10-15 years in a professional services role serving UHNW clients, followed by a transition into wealth managementSkills to master
- Deep expertise in a specific area relevant to UHNW clients (e.g., complex tax, estate law), a strong network of UHNW contacts, and a genuine interest in holistic financial planning and client management. You'll need to acquire the necessary regulatory licences.
You're ready to move on when
- You have a network of UHNW clients who already trust your advice.
- You're prepared to acquire the necessary FCA authorisations and investment qualifications.
- You can demonstrate a clear desire and aptitude for a sales and relationship management role.
- You understand the fiduciary responsibilities of a wealth advisor.
