- Strong communication skills, capable of influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Deep technical and operational mastery of all systems in a highly critical facility (e.g., major data centre, hospital, large campus), extensive experience with regulatory compliance, crisis management, and significant capital project delivery.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led all engineering operations for a single, highly critical facility with a budget of £1M+.
- Managed complex capital projects from inception to completion, delivering them on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated exceptional calm under pressure during critical system failures, with effective incident command.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a large, diverse engineering team (10+ individuals).

Consulting Engineer / Engineering Manager (External)
5-7 yearsSkills to master
- Broad exposure to diverse building types and engineering challenges, client relationship management, project delivery for multiple stakeholders, and strong commercial awareness.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led engineering design or commissioning projects for a variety of commercial or industrial clients.
- Developed strong client-facing skills, including proposal writing and project presentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and timelines across multiple concurrent engagements.
- Deep technical knowledge across several engineering disciplines relevant to building systems.
