From Quality Management Specialist (L2)
2-3 years as an L2Skills to master
- Mastering independent project execution, taking ownership of routine processes, identifying issues and proposing solutions, and beginning to informally guide new joiners. You'd be consistently delivering reliable work and showing initiative.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led 3-5 minor quality improvement initiatives.
- Consistently identified and resolved non-conformances without significant oversight.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills in routine data analysis.
- Received positive feedback on collaboration with cross-functional peers.
- Proactively sought out learning opportunities and new challenges.

From Process Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer
4-6 years in engineering roles with a strong quality focusSkills to master
- Developing a deep understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001), statistical process control, and formal root cause analysis methodologies. You'd need to shift from just designing processes to ensuring their ongoing quality and compliance.
You're ready to move on when
- Actively participated in FMEAs or process risk assessments.
- Implemented process controls to improve product quality in previous roles.
- Demonstrated a strong aptitude for data analysis and problem-solving.
- Expressed a clear passion for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Completed a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

From Supplier Quality Engineer
3-5 years in supplier qualitySkills to master
- Broadening your scope from external supplier quality to internal operational quality. This means getting hands-on with manufacturing processes, internal auditing, and leading internal CAPA investigations. You'd need to understand the full internal QMS.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully managed quality for critical suppliers, including audits and issue resolution.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills in a supplier context.
- Understood the impact of supplier quality on internal operations.
- Showed initiative in improving supplier processes.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and its application.
