- Enterprise QMS management, global regulatory compliance, multi-site team leadership, strategic supplier quality, and executive reporting. You'd have been running a significant part of a global quality function.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led a major global quality transformation programme.
- Managed a quality budget of over £5M and achieved significant COPQ reductions.
- Consistently delivered excellent results in external regulatory audits across multiple jurisdictions.
- Built and mentored a strong team of senior quality managers.

VP/Head of Operations (with strong Quality focus)
7-12 years in senior Operations leadershipSkills to master
- Deep understanding of end-to-end operational processes, P&L management, supply chain optimisation, and a proven ability to embed quality principles directly into manufacturing and logistics. This path usually means you've owned quality as part of a broader operational remit.
You're ready to move on when
- Managed a business unit or large operational division with significant P&L responsibility.
- Implemented Lean/Six Sigma across multiple operational areas, driving efficiency and quality gains.
- Demonstrated strong collaboration with Quality teams to resolve complex production issues and prevent recurrence.
- Presented operational performance (including quality metrics) to the Board regularly.

Senior Engineering/Product Development Leader (with Quality oversight)
8-15 years in senior Engineering/Product rolesSkills to master
- Expertise in Design for Quality (DFQ), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), product validation, and managing quality throughout the product development lifecycle. You'd have a strong understanding of how quality is designed in from the start.
You're ready to move on when
- Led the development and launch of multiple complex products with excellent quality performance.
- Implemented robust DFQ processes and tools within engineering.
- Successfully managed product quality risks from concept to market.
- Collaborated extensively with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
