3-5 years as an Analyst + 1-2 years automation focusSkills to master
- Translating deep process knowledge into actionable automation designs, gaining hands-on proficiency with RPA platforms, and understanding the technical nuances of bot development and deployment. You'll need to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.
You're ready to move on when
- Has a strong background in process mapping and requirements gathering.
- Has built simple automations or prototypes (e.g., Power Automate, VBA).
- Understands the limitations and capabilities of automation technologies.

2-4 years as a Developer + 1-2 years Operations exposureSkills to master
- Adapting software development best practices to the unique challenges of RPA (e.g., UI automation brittleness), gaining expertise in specific RPA platforms, and developing a deep understanding of Operations processes and their inefficiencies.
