The pathway
How you actually get there, here
How you become one varies far more by country than what one does. This is the UK route. Most people take one of these ways in; the right one depends on where you're starting from.
- 1

3-5 yearsSkills to master
- End-to-end management of logistics for small-to-medium events, proficient use of core logistics software, strong vendor communication, and meticulous documentation.
You're ready to move on when
- Consistently delivering events within budget and on time.
- Successfully managing all logistics for at least 5-7 medium-sized events independently.
- Proactively identifying and solving routine logistical issues without supervision.
- Receiving positive feedback from Project Managers on your reliability and planning.
- 2
Production Coordinator (Events Industry)

- A keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving under pressure.
- A clear interest and aptitude for the 'physical' side of events (shipping, inventory, site management).
- Strong references highlighting your reliability and ability to learn quickly.
- 3
Supply Chain Coordinator (Other Industries)

- Experience with international shipping and customs procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to logistical challenges.
- A genuine passion for the events industry and a willingness to learn its specific nuances.
