8-12 years PQE in a specialist practice areaSkills to master
- Deep specialisation in a particular area of law (e.g., M&A, IP, commercial litigation), managing client relationships, supervising junior lawyers on complex cases, and developing a strong commercial understanding of client businesses. You'll have been responsible for significant client matters.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully managed multiple complex client matters concurrently.
- Has a strong reputation for expertise in their specialist field.
- Proven ability to supervise and develop junior lawyers within the firm.

Legal Manager / Team Lead (Large Organisation)
5-8 years in a similar legal management roleSkills to master
- Experience managing a small team of legal professionals, overseeing specific legal functions or programmes, and having a track record of process improvement and efficiency gains within a legal department. This is about proving you can lead people and projects.

- Successfully led a team or project to achieve specific legal outcomes.
- Implemented new processes or technologies that improved legal department efficiency.
