You'd be known for tackling complex problems and driving significant improvements.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led 2-3 major process improvement initiatives that delivered measurable ROI.
- Consistently achieved top-tier client satisfaction and SLA performance for your managed accounts.
- Mentored at least two junior managers who have shown significant growth and taken on more responsibility.
- Proactively identified and presented strategic opportunities or risks to senior leadership.

Operations Lead / Programme Manager (External Hire)
8-12 years in a similar BPO operations leadership roleSkills to master
- Coming from outside, you'd bring a proven track record of managing large-scale BPO operations, potentially across different industries or geographies. We'd look for experience in driving operational transformation, managing significant P&L segments, and a strong understanding of BPO commercial models.
You're ready to move on when
- Managed a portfolio of client operations with a P&L responsibility of at least £5M.
- Led the successful implementation of new technologies (e.g., RPA, AI) in a BPO context.
- Demonstrated strong client relationship management skills, including contract negotiation and expansion.
- Experience building and leading multi-layered teams across different locations.

5-8 years as a consultant, with hands-on BPO experienceSkills to master
- If you're coming from a consulting background, you'd need to show you've not just advised, but actually implemented operational improvements in BPO settings. Your strategic thinking and ability to diagnose problems would be strong, but we'd look for evidence of direct operational accountability.
You're ready to move on when
- Led multiple BPO transformation projects for clients, from strategy to implementation.
- Developed and presented business cases for significant operational investments.
- Experience managing diverse project teams and influencing senior client stakeholders.
- A deep understanding of various BPO service lines and industry best practices.
