From Safety Specialist (L2)
2-3 years as a Safety SpecialistSkills to master
- You'd have mastered managing specific safety programmes, independently conducted investigations for minor incidents, and become proficient with our core EHS systems. You'd also be consistently identifying issues and proposing solutions.
You're ready to move on when
- Consistently closing 95%+ of assigned corrective actions on time.
- Successfully leading at least 5-7 minor incident investigations from start to finish.
- Demonstrating strong proactive hazard identification during site walks, bringing new risks to attention.
- Receiving positive feedback from operational teams on your collaborative approach and practical advice.

From a Technical Role with Safety Focus
5-7 years in a role like Maintenance Engineer, Process Engineer, or Production Supervisor, with significant safety responsibilities.Skills to master
- You'd need a deep understanding of operational processes, equipment, and inherent risks, coupled with a strong track record of implementing safety improvements and leading safety initiatives within your previous role. You'd also need to pick up the formal safety management system knowledge.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led significant safety improvement projects within your technical domain.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply safety regulations to practical scenarios.
- Proven experience in incident investigation from an operational perspective.
- Completed foundational safety qualifications like the NEBOSH General Certificate.
