You're ready to move on when
- Consistently exceeded portfolio performance targets (OTIF, cost reduction).
- Successfully led multiple complex contract negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor junior team members.
- Proactively identified and implemented significant operational improvements across a 3PL portfolio.
- Proven ability to present strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

4-6 years in a similar leadership roleSkills to master
- Adapting to a larger, more complex organisational structure, managing a bigger team, influencing a broader range of senior stakeholders, potentially managing a larger budget and more diverse 3PL network.
You're ready to move on when
- Managed an entire logistics function (including 3PLs) at a mid-sized company.
- Experience with full P&L accountability for logistics operations.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Successfully navigated significant operational challenges and driven cost efficiencies.

From Management Consultant (Specialising in Supply Chain)
6-8 years in consulting, with 2-3 years at Manager/Senior Manager levelSkills to master
- Transitioning from advisory to hands-on execution and ownership, building long-term internal and external relationships, direct people management, navigating internal politics.
You're ready to move on when
- Led multiple supply chain transformation or logistics optimisation projects for clients.
- Developed and presented strategic recommendations to C-suite clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to real-world operational challenges.
- Experience in vendor selection and contract negotiation (even if advisory).
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
