You're ready to move on when
- You've successfully completed your apprenticeship and gained relevant Level 3 or 4 qualifications.
- You can independently perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
- You have a solid understanding of engineering principles and their application in a manufacturing setting.
- You're recognised by your supervisors for your reliability and eagerness to learn.

Technical/Maintenance Assistant
1-2 yearsSkills to master
- Basic machine operation, preventative maintenance tasks, tool usage, safety procedures, reporting equipment issues.
You're ready to move on when
- You've gained hands-on experience with production machinery and processes.
- You can identify and report common equipment faults accurately.
- You're proactive in supporting the maintenance and production teams.
- You've shown a keen interest in understanding the 'why' behind technical issues.

Graduate Engineer (with limited experience)
0-1 year post-graduationSkills to master
- Application of theoretical knowledge to practical problems, data analysis fundamentals, technical report writing, project support.
You're ready to move on when
- You hold a relevant engineering degree but have limited direct industrial experience.
- You've completed relevant university projects demonstrating practical problem-solving.
- You're eager to get hands-on and learn the realities of a production environment.
- You can quickly grasp new technical concepts and apply them.
