Scrap Rate Attributed to Your Line/Area
This metric tracks the percentage of material that has to be scrapped because of defects found in your area of responsibility. A lower number means you're preventing waste.
Target · Maintain <1.5% scrap rate.

If your line produces £100,000 worth of material and £1,000 of it ends up as scrap due to quality issues you're responsible for, that's a 1% scrap rate. We want to keep that tight.

Number of Inspections Completed per Shift
This measures your efficiency. We've got standard rates for different types of inspections, and you should be meeting those without cutting corners.

If a standard visual inspection takes 15 minutes per batch, and you're assigned 20 batches in a shift, you should comfortably complete those 20 inspections. It's about getting the work done thoroughly and on time.

This isn't about how many you find, but how accurately you identify them. We sometimes do re-inspections or audits of your work to make sure you're not missing things or flagging good parts as bad.
