Operations Manager (Large Area/Business Unit)
3-5 yearsSkills to master
- Managing multiple production lines or a complete value stream, full budget accountability for a significant operational area, leading cross-functional improvement projects, and developing a strong team of supervisors and line managers.
You're ready to move on when
- Consistently exceeding operational KPIs (OEE, FPY, CPU) for your area.
- Successfully leading at least two major Lean/Six Sigma projects with demonstrable financial benefits.
- Having a strong succession plan in place for your own role, with at least one direct report ready to step up.
- Being recognised as a go-to problem solver for complex operational challenges.

Senior Assembly Line Manager (Multiple Lines/Complex Products)
5-7 yearsSkills to master
- Mastering the end-to-end management of several complex assembly lines or a highly critical product family, including advanced troubleshooting, capacity planning, and leading significant changeovers. You'll have deep experience with all SQDC metrics at the line level.
You're ready to move on when
- Your lines consistently outperform others in OEE and quality metrics.
- You've successfully managed significant new product introductions or line reconfigurations.
- You're regularly mentoring junior managers and are seen as a technical and leadership expert.
- You're actively involved in strategic planning discussions beyond your immediate lines.

Head of Maintenance or Quality (Large Site)
4-6 yearsSkills to master
- Leading a large team of maintenance engineers or quality professionals, developing and implementing site-wide maintenance or quality strategies, managing significant departmental budgets, and driving compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
You're ready to move on when
- Achieving significant reductions in machine downtime or quality defects across the plant.
- Successfully leading the plant through major external audits (e.g., ISO, regulatory).
- Demonstrating strong cross-functional collaboration with production teams.
- Having a clear understanding of the full plant P&L and operational drivers.
