You're ready to move on when
- Consistently delivers high-quality work on assigned HSE programmes with minimal supervision.
- Successfully leads routine incident investigations, identifying clear root causes and effective CAPAs.
- Proactively identifies and proposes solutions for site-level hazards or compliance gaps.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills with operational teams and can influence positive safety behaviours.

Environmental or Safety Engineer
4-6 yearsSkills to master
- Deep technical understanding of specific environmental controls or safety engineering principles, conducting detailed risk assessments for new equipment/processes, and collaborating with design teams to 'engineer out' hazards.
You're ready to move on when
- Proven ability to translate engineering principles into practical HSE solutions.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in process safety or environmental impact assessments.
- Successfully implemented engineering controls that demonstrably reduced risk.
- Effective collaboration with engineering and project teams on HSE aspects of new installations.

Operations Supervisor/Manager with HSE Focus
5-7 yearsSkills to master
- Direct experience managing teams in a high-risk environment, understanding operational pressures, implementing HSE policies at the front-line, and driving safety culture within their own team.
You're ready to move on when
- Consistently achieved strong HSE performance within their operational team.
- Demonstrated leadership in promoting a positive safety culture amongst their direct reports.
- Proactively identified and addressed HSE issues within their area of responsibility.
- Strong understanding of the practical challenges of implementing HSE policies on the shop floor.
