The pathway
How you actually get there, here
How you become one varies far more by country than what one does. This is the UK route. Most people take one of these ways in; the right one depends on where you're starting from.

You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led multiple complex environmental programmes with significant business impact.
- Consistently demonstrated informal leadership, mentoring junior colleagues and taking initiative beyond project scope.
- Presented strategic recommendations to senior leadership and successfully secured buy-in/resources.
- Managed external consultants and significant project budgets (e.g., £100K-£500K).
- 2
From Senior Environmental Consultant
