You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led a major regional audit programme with measurable impact on safety performance.
- Developed and mentored at least 3-5 direct reports who have progressed in their careers.
- Consistently delivered strong presentations to regional executive leadership, influencing key safety decisions.
- Managed a regional audit budget of £500K-£2M effectively and efficiently.

Head of EHS for a Large Business Unit (L5)
4-6 years at L5Skills to master
- Owning the entire EHS function (not just audit) for a significant business unit, including operational EHS, compliance, and risk management. This path requires a broader operational leadership focus, demonstrating you can run a P&L and integrate EHS into core business strategy.
You're ready to move on when
- Achieved significant reductions in TRIR and other lagging indicators within your business unit.
- Successfully navigated complex regulatory inspections without major findings.
- Demonstrated strong strategic thinking in integrating EHS into business unit objectives.
- Managed a large, multi-disciplinary EHS team and budget.
