How you’d get this certificate

  1. Zavmo teaches you. You learn the units one-to-one with an AI tutor, on your own work.
  2. You register with an approved centre. That is a college, training provider or employer The Learning Machine has approved to offer this qualification. Zavmo is not an approved centre, so you register with them, not with us.
  3. The centre assesses, and The Learning Machine awards. A qualified assessor at the centre judges your evidence, and the certificate comes from The Learning Machine.

01What it is

This Entry Level Certificate develops skills for employment at Entry Level 3. Learners gain knowledge in areas such as managing money, teamwork, and health and safety. It is designed for individuals preparing for work, building confidence, and improving productivity using IT.

These are the units The Learning Machine registers against this qualification. It is a catalogue, not a syllabus. Which of them you take depends on the combination the qualification requires, and that is set by the awarding body rather than by us. Every unit here is regulated. Zavmo teaches towards them on your own work.

Zavmo is not an awarding body, is not an approved centre, and is not affiliated with The Learning Machine. It does the teaching and the mapping. The Learning Machine sets this qualification and awards it, and a qualified human assessor makes the assessment decision.

This unit provides learners with an understanding of citizenship aspects in the UK, including individual rights and responsibilities, equality issues under current legislation, functions of local and national government, and awareness of public services available in the community.

Communication in the Workplace Real unit · The Learning Machine
You'll gain an understanding of effective communication in the workplace, including identifying necessary information, communication methods, and self-assessment. The unit supports the development of clear and accurate workplace communication skills.

You'll develop knowledge of the benefits of good customer service to organisations, including its impact on reputation and sales, and understand the consequences of poor service. The unit covers the importance of first impressions, positive verbal and non-verbal communication, and respect for individuals in customer interactions.

  • Describe the benefits to an organisation of providing good customer service.
  • Explain the possible consequences of poor customer service.
  • Recognise the value of making positive first impressions on customers.

Improving Own Confidence Real unit · The Learning Machine
It teaches you to understand factors influencing personal confidence and how to improve it. You'll examine the role of communication skills, decision-making, emotions, and goal setting in building self-assurance.

This unit develops learners' ability to plan, use, and review IT systems and software to enhance productivity. You'll select appropriate tools, complete tasks efficiently, and evaluate their use to identify improvements.

Introduction to Health and Safety Real unit · The Learning Machine
You'll be introduced to fundamental health and safety principles in the workplace. The unit covers hazard identification, risk assessment, safety signs, and safe working practices to promote a secure working environment.

The credits, and who awards them

Entry Level credits are regulated, and they are awarded by The Learning Machine rather than by Zavmo. They don’t vanish when a subscription ends or a website closes. They travel to any employer, and Zavmo keeps the map of what you have covered and what is next.
