- Consistently high assay pass rates and low data entry error rates.
- Proactively identifying and resolving routine lab issues without constant supervision.
- Successfully training new L1 technicians on basic protocols.
- Taking ownership of specific lab equipment or reagent stocks.

Lab Assistant / Junior Scientist (External)
3-5 yearsSkills to master
- Strong foundation in core lab techniques, good understanding of scientific principles, ability to follow complex protocols, and a keen eye for detail.
You're ready to move on when
- Demonstrated experience in a variety of research settings (e.g., academia, biotech).
- Publications or significant contributions to research projects.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and manage small projects.
- Excellent references from previous supervisors highlighting technical proficiency and problem-solving.

MSc Graduate with Extensive Lab Project Work
Direct entry with 2-3 years of post-MSc experienceSkills to master
- Advanced theoretical knowledge, independent research project design and execution, data analysis and interpretation, scientific writing.
You're ready to move on when
- Successful completion of a research-intensive MSc programme with a strong thesis.
- Significant hands-on lab experience gained during MSc projects or industrial placements.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimise experimental protocols.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate scientific findings.
