Determine HS codes for new products, troubleshoot customs clearance issues, and make recommendations on duty optimisation strategies.
Problem Resolution (Shipment Delays) No independent decision. You'll gather all the facts and immediately escalate to your Coordinator for guidance. Independently resolve routine delays (e.g., chasing a missing document from a forwarder). Escalate complex issues (e.g., customs holds) to a Senior Coordinator. Lead the resolution of complex shipment issues, coordinating with multiple parties and making decisions on alternative routes or urgent actions.
Vendor & Partner Communication No independent decision. You'll draft emails or make calls under the direct supervision of your Coordinator, who will review your communications. Communicate independently with freight forwarders and customs brokers for routine operational matters (e.g., tracking updates, document requests). Lead communications with key vendors on performance issues, negotiate service recovery, and represent the company in operational discussions.
