- Strong client relationship management skills, which translate well to internal stakeholder management.
- A desire to be deeply embedded in one company's accounting rather than consulting across many.

Roughly 14-16 years total experience, with 8-10 years in technical accounting within a complex public company.Skills to master
- Expanding scope from a specific area (e.g., revenue) to global policy, leading larger teams, and presenting to the Audit Committee. You'll need to step up your strategic thinking.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led the implementation of a major accounting standard.
- Consistently provided definitive accounting guidance on complex transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing 1-2 direct reports and mentoring others.
