- Mastering the management of a specific site or channel, demonstrating strong WFM expertise, consistently hitting SLAs, and effectively developing a team of Team Leads. You'll also need to show consistent success in managing a functional budget and driving local process improvements.
You're ready to move on when
- Consistently exceeding operational KPIs for your managed area.
- Successfully leading at least one significant cross-team or cross-channel project.
- Having a clear succession plan for your own L4 role, with identified high-potential Team Leads.
- Demonstrating strong influencing skills with peer managers and senior stakeholders.

From Senior Contact Centre Manager in a similar industry
Direct entry, assuming 12-16 years overall experience.Skills to master
- Bringing a proven track record of managing multiple L4 managers, owning a substantial P&L, and leading strategic operational transformations in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. Experience with similar tech stacks (CCaaS, WFM, CRM) is a huge plus.
You're ready to move on when
- Ability to articulate complex operational strategies and their impact on business outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Strong references from previous direct reports and senior leaders.
- A clear understanding of the nuances of our industry (e.g., FinTech, SaaS).

From Operations Manager (non-contact centre, but high volume)
5-7 years in a similar operational leadership role, plus a focused transition period.Skills to master
- Transferable skills in large-scale operational management, P&L ownership, and leading leaders. You'd need to quickly get up to speed on contact centre specific methodologies (WFM, ACD/IVR architecture, industry metrics) and our tech stack.

- Proven ability to manage complex, real-time operations with strict SLAs.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- A genuine passion for customer service and a commitment to learning the specific domain nuances.
- Successful completion of relevant contact centre certifications (e.g., COPC, HDI) during a transition period.
