- Deepening knowledge of financial crime regulations, understanding the 'second line of defence' perspective, shifting from auditing controls to *owning* and *designing* them, developing a more proactive risk management mindset.

- A strong understanding of internal controls and risk management frameworks from an audit perspective.
- Demonstrable experience managing audit teams and projects.
- A clear interest in moving into a more proactive, preventative compliance role.

- Extensive experience advising financial services clients on regulatory compliance.
- A desire to move from project-based consulting to building and managing a long-term compliance function.
- Strong client management skills which translate well to internal stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory advice into practical solutions.
