The pathway
How you actually get there, here
How you become one varies far more by country than what one does. This is the UK route. Most people take one of these ways in; the right one depends on where you're starting from.

- Successfully managing 2-3 medium-complexity BPO sourcing projects from start to finish.
- Demonstrating a proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities or service improvements within existing BPO contracts.

- A strong track record of success in managing other complex service categories (e.g., IT services, marketing services).
- Demonstrable ability to quickly learn and adapt to new industry sectors and service models.
- Proactive self-study or certifications in BPO-specific procurement best practices.
- A genuine interest in the Business Process Outsourcing domain.

- A strong understanding of BPO provider capabilities, challenges, and commercial models.
