How you’d get this certificate

  1. Zavmo teaches you. You learn the units one-to-one with an AI tutor, on your own work.
  2. You register with an approved centre. That is a college, training provider or employer OTHM Qualifications has approved to offer this qualification. Zavmo is not an approved centre, so you register with them, not with us.
  3. The centre assesses, and OTHM Qualifications awards. A qualified assessor at the centre judges your evidence, and the certificate comes from OTHM Qualifications.

01What it is

The OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management qualification is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required by a middle or senior manager in managing organizational logistics and supply chain.

These are the units OTHM Qualifications registers against this qualification. It is a catalogue, not a syllabus. Which of them you take depends on the combination the qualification requires, and that is set by the awarding body rather than by us. Every unit here is regulated. Zavmo teaches towards them on your own work.

Zavmo is not an awarding body, is not an approved centre, and is not affiliated with OTHM Qualifications. It does the teaching and the mapping. OTHM Qualifications sets this qualification and awards it, and a qualified human assessor makes the assessment decision.

In this unit, you'll gain an understanding about entrepreneurship development and entrepreneurship in business. They will explore the behaviour and roles of an entrepreneur and consider factors faced by entrepreneurs in setting up their venture.

Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management Real unit · OTHM Qualifications
This unit aims to allow the student to develop an appreciation of the issues to be addressed when dealing with the complexities of managing the global sourcing of materials and components, the globalisation of manufacturing operations, and meeting the needs of the global customer.

International Logistics Management Real unit · OTHM Qualifications
This unit focuses on the strategic, value-adding role of logistics in supply networks. The unit aims to provide learners with an understanding of all key areas within logistics from an international perspective.

  • Understand logistics strategies in international logistics management.
  • Understand the tools and techniques in managing logistics in international logistics management.
  • Understand the role of planning and designing of the logistics function in international logistics management.
Project Management Real unit · OTHM Qualifications
The aim of this module is to familiarise the learners with the various aspects of projects and guidelines relevant to project planning, analysis, financing, selection, implementation and review.

Strategic Procurement Real unit · OTHM Qualifications
This unit aims to provide learners with an understanding of how procurement strategy is developed in business. The unit will focus on best practices in strategic procurement in business, the contribution of purchasing (strategic procurement) to supply chain management, strategic procurement and management in procurement models and procurement strategies used in business management.

The unit also aims to give students an understanding of the role of the planning and control within an organisation and the outward impact this has on aspects of the supply chain.

04The credits

The credits, and who awards them

Level 6 credits are regulated, and they are awarded by OTHM Qualifications rather than by Zavmo. They don’t vanish when a subscription ends or a website closes. They travel to any employer, and Zavmo keeps the map of what you have covered and what is next.
