- Architecting strategic frameworks, managing ambiguity, building strong cross-functional relationships, and mentoring junior team members. You'd also need to prove you can handle the P&L implications of your recommendations.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led 3+ major multi-market strategic programmes from definition to initial execution.
- Consistently received positive feedback from VPs and C-suite on your strategic insights and presentation quality.
- Mentored and developed at least 2-3 senior analysts or strategists who have progressed in their careers.

Manager, International Market Strategy (L5)
2-4 years as Manager, demonstrating strong team leadership, budget management, and accountability for team output.Skills to master
- Building and developing a high-performing team, managing research budgets, setting team objectives, and effectively delegating strategic workstreams. You'd also need to show you can represent the strategy function externally.
You're ready to move on when
- Managed a team of 5+ strategists, with demonstrable success in talent development and retention.
- Owned and managed a research budget of at least £100K.
- Successfully overseen the execution of multiple international GTM strategies through your team.

Senior Management Consultant (with international focus)
5-8 years in a top-tier consulting firm, leading international growth engagements for large clients.Skills to master
- Client relationship management, structured problem-solving, developing and presenting strategic recommendations to executive clients, and managing complex project teams. You'd need to adapt to an in-house, execution-focused culture.
You're ready to move on when
- Led multiple international market entry or growth strategy projects for Fortune 500 clients.
- Managed project teams of 5-10 consultants.
- Demonstrated ability to transition from advisory to direct ownership of strategic outcomes.
