The OCNLR Level 5 Diploma in Software Engineering is designed to develop advanced technical skills and professional competencies in modern software development. Learners strengthen their ability to design, implement and test object-oriented, web-based applications using database systems, while also gaining expertise in areas such as mobile development, testing and software project management. The qualification supports progression into skilled developer roles or further higher-level study.
These are the units OCN London registers against this qualification. It is a catalogue, not a syllabus. Which of them you take depends on the combination the qualification requires, and that is set by the awarding body rather than by us. Every unit here is regulated. Zavmo teaches towards them on your own work, and work done here is recognised as prior learning under the agreements we hold.

- Develop, test, debug, and deploy a mobile application that can run on multiple devices.
Object-Oriented Design and Implementation Real unit · OCN London
What you'll be able to do
- Understand fundamental object-oriented design (OO) principles (such as encapsulation, inheritance and polymorphism) and concepts (such as classes, objects and message passing) and describe their importance in software reuse, and maintenance, explaining the benefits of OO programming.
- Use a suitable programming language to develop an efficient and reusable OO software application, applying practical skills in OO development.
- Implement appropriate underlying data structures to store and manipulate data in an OO program, selecting and utilising suitable data structures.
- Understand the benefits of software reuse and the limitations of using object-oriented software applications, evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of OO programming.
