- The centre assesses, and Skills and Education Group Awards awards. A qualified assessor at the centre judges your evidence, and the certificate comes from Skills and Education Group Awards.

- Develop, test, debug and publish a mobile application which can run on multiple devices
Object-Oriented Design and Development Real unit · Skills and Education Group Awards
What you'll be able to do
- Understand the fundamental Object- Orientated (OO) principles (such as encapsulation, inheritance and polymorphism) and concepts (such as classes, objects and message passing) and describe their importance in software reuse, and maintenance
- Use a suitable programming language to develop an efficient and reusable OO software application
- Identify, implement and use appropriate underlying data structures to store and manipulate data in an OO program
- Understand the benefits of software reuse and the limitations of using objects software applications
Software Project Real unit · Skills and Education Group Awards
What you'll be able to do
- Analyse an outline of a problem brief and determine a specification, plan, processes, resources and tools to undertake a programme of work for the project
- Apply professional, social, legal, and ethical codes of conduct, practices and responsibilities and safety/security related issues related to your project work
- Understand the key concepts of data confidentiality, integrity and availability
- Deploy appropriate theory, practices, and tools to analyse, specify, test, implement and evaluate systems, using appropriate development approaches to scope, time-manage and organise a project

- Identify and reflect on the actions or measures that may be taken to minimise the failure of a computing project

- Understand the components, processes and technologies behind an interactive web application
- Develop an interactive web application using modern tools and techniques
- Understand what responsive applications are and assess the quality of the interface of a web based interactive application
- Understand the importance of security and demonstrate how security techniques can be applied to an interactive web-based application

The credits, and who awards them
Level 5 credits are regulated, and they are awarded by Skills and Education Group Awards rather than by Zavmo. They don’t vanish when a subscription ends or a website closes. They travel to any employer, and Zavmo keeps the map of what you have covered and what is next.

How you’d practise it
