How you’d get this certificate
- Zavmo teaches you. You learn the units one-to-one with an AI tutor, on your own work.
- You register with an approved centre. That is a college, training provider or employer ATHE Ltd has approved to offer this qualification. Zavmo is not an approved centre, so you register with them, not with us.
- The centre assesses, and ATHE Ltd awards. A qualified assessor at the centre judges your evidence, and the certificate comes from ATHE Ltd.
The ATHE Level 6 Extended Diploma is geared towards international law, diplomacy and security. It is a vocationally-related qualification at Level 6. The diploma covers research methods, conflict resolution, global security challenges, international trade law, and human rights.
These are the units ATHE Ltd registers against this qualification. It is a catalogue, not a syllabus. Which of them you take depends on the combination the qualification requires, and that is set by the awarding body rather than by us. Every unit here is regulated. Zavmo teaches towards them on your own work.

What you'll be able to do
- Understand the sources and nature of public international law, including treaties, customary international law, general principles of law, and judicial decisions.
- Understand the role of states and international bodies in enforcing public international law, including mechanisms for dispute resolution, sanctions, and international criminal justice.
- Understand the legal principles governing the use of force and peaceful dispute resolution, including the prohibition of the use of force, the right of self-defence, and the principles of diplomatic negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
- Apply international law to current legal disputes, demonstrating the ability to identify relevant legal principles, analyse factual situations, and formulate legal arguments.

Level 6 credits are regulated, and they are awarded by ATHE Ltd rather than by Zavmo. They don’t vanish when a subscription ends or a website closes. They travel to any employer, and Zavmo keeps the map of what you have covered and what is next.
