What you'll be able to do

  • Follow health and safety legislation, regulations, and safe working practices and procedures applicable to the work location and activities, referencing the organisation's safety management system, HASWA, COSHH, safe work plans, SWL, track access restrictions, track work instructions, track possession, task risk control sheets, current rule book, regulations for working under OHLE and in the vicinity of DC lines, equipment disconnections, manual handling regulations, RIDDOR, safety sign regulations, and PPE, as applicable.
  • Identify the access requirements related to two of the following types of site installation locations: trackside, internal (such as signal box, equipment room), areas to which the public have access, confined spaces, and elevated structures.
