What you'll be able to do
- Understand the equipment and resources needed to undertake energy inspections of Level 3 non-dwellings, including software, measuring devices, and documentation.
- Understand the implications of building characteristics affecting the energy performance of a property, including insulation, glazing, heating systems, and ventilation.
- Understand how to collate information from the on-site inspection and other sources to assess the energy performance of the property, including building plans, energy bills, and occupancy data.
- Understand how to prepare and issue an Energy Performance Certificate which includes recommendations for cost-effective improvements and meets relevant regulations, including the calculation of energy ratings and the identification of energy-saving measures.
- Understand how to make and maintain complete, accurate and legible records of your work, including inspection reports, data logs, and correspondence.
- Inspect a Level 3 non-dwelling thoroughly and systematically, identifying key features and collecting relevant data for energy assessment.
- Collate information from the on-site inspection and other sources to assess the energy performance of the property accurately and effectively, using appropriate software and calculation methods.
- Prepare and issue an Energy Performance Certificate which includes recommendations for energy efficiency measures and meets relevant regulations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
