How you’d get this certificate
- Zavmo teaches you. You learn the units one-to-one with an AI tutor, on your own work.
- You register with an approved centre. That is a college, training provider or employer Ascentis has approved to offer this qualification. Zavmo is not an approved centre, so you register with them, not with us.
- The centre assesses, and Ascentis awards. A qualified assessor at the centre judges your evidence, and the certificate comes from Ascentis.
The Ascentis Level 1 Award in Managing Personal Finance is a nationally recognised qualification designed to help learners build essential money management skills. It covers key topics such as understanding income and expenses, budgeting effectively, comparing financial products, and recognising the risks and benefits of borrowing. Its flexible delivery options and practical content make it a great choice for centres seeking to promote financial literacy in an engaging and impactful way with their learners. There are several features of this qualification that make it very appropriate for its target learners: Assessment and certification can be offered throughout the year, allowing maximum flexibility for centres Can be delivered either as a classroom-based course or as a blended learning programme Assessments are offered through an online multiple-choice test that is designed to be taken at the end of the course. Assessments can only be requested as a paper-based assessment where required as a reasonable adjustment. There are online resources that can be used alongside the teaching
These are the units Ascentis registers against this qualification. It is a catalogue, not a syllabus. Which of them you take depends on the combination the qualification requires, and that is set by the awarding body rather than by us. Every unit here is regulated. Zavmo teaches towards them on your own work, and work done here is recognised as prior learning under the agreements we hold.
Zavmo is not an awarding body, is not an approved centre, and is not affiliated with Ascentis. It does the teaching and the mapping. Ascentis sets this qualification and awards it, and a qualified human assessor makes the assessment decision.
