You're ready to move on when
- Successfully designed and launched a major, high-impact compliance curriculum (e.g., an entire Privacy programme).
- Consistently received positive feedback on your ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members.
- Demonstrated strong project management skills, delivering complex programmes on time and within budget.
- Proactively identified and proposed solutions for systemic training challenges, not just individual course issues.

5-7 years as an L&D ManagerSkills to master
- Managing a team, owning budgets, and developing learning strategies in a regulated environment. You'd need to quickly get up to speed on the specific compliance nuances of our industry.
You're ready to move on when
- Managed a team of 5+ L&D professionals, with demonstrable success in their development.
- Owned a significant L&D budget and made strategic resource allocation decisions.
- Developed and implemented learning strategies that drove measurable business outcomes.

Senior Compliance Officer (with L&D experience)
6-8 years in Compliance rolesSkills to master
- Deep expertise in regulatory frameworks and risk management, combined with a proven ability to translate that into effective learning. You'd need to build out your instructional design and learning technology knowledge.
You're ready to move on when
- Held a senior role in a Compliance department, advising on policy and risk.
- Demonstrated experience in designing or overseeing compliance training programmes, even if not your primary role.
- Strong understanding of audit processes and 'defensibility' requirements.
- A genuine passion for learning and a willingness to develop L&D-specific skills.
