Learning by conversation, at UM6P
Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique is a university in Morocco. Its learners took the Entrepreneurship & Innovation pathway with Zavmo. The pilot closed on 2 October 2026.
One pathway, many conversations. Each learner taught on their own terms.
What they used it for
One pathway, taught as a conversation
UM6P ran a pilot of Zavmo for its own learners. The pathway was Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Zavmo taught it as a conversation, one question at a time.
Learners showed what they could do in their own answers, not in a separate test. The learning record behind this story names no learner, and neither do we.
How learners found it
In their own words
Most learners found the pathway clear and relevant. Two of them shared their reactions with permission. Names are withheld.
The onboarding process is smooth, and I particularly liked the personalised approach. It creates the impression that the system is genuinely trying to understand the learner before proposing a learning journey.
I really appreciated how it responds with kindness when I make a mistake, and gently redirects me when I try to skip a question instead of simply blocking me. Connecting examples to one of my hobbies made the content feel much more relevant.
What the pilot showed
Learning that changed as it went
- Mistakes were caught The tutor flagged weak answers. Later answers put them right.
- Answers got better Learners corrected misunderstandings, and their answers improved.
- Evidence came from the work Each criterion was shown in a learner’s own answer, not a separate test.
What learners asked for
What they asked of Zavmo
Learners told us three things more than once.
- “Explain the journey before it starts.”
- “Speed up once a concept has landed.”
- “Remember what I have already shown you.”
