- Moving from leading multiple projects to managing a portfolio of projects, developing deeper commercial acumen, building a strong internal network, and demonstrating the ability to mentor other Leads.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led 3+ complex, multi-country BPO transitions from end-to-end.
- Consistently achieved high client satisfaction scores (4.5/5.0+) on your projects.
- Actively mentored 2-3 junior team members who have shown significant growth.
- Contributed significantly to the development of our enterprise transition playbooks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets up to £500K effectively.

Senior Programme Manager (External, large enterprise)
5-7 years in a senior programme management role, ideally with exposure to outsourcingSkills to master
- Adapting to the BPO provider context, understanding our commercial models, building relationships with BPO operations teams, and translating client needs into BPO-specific solutions. Also, getting comfortable with managing external client relationships at an executive level.
You're ready to move on when
- Managed programmes with budgets exceeding £1M and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proven track record of delivering complex transformation initiatives within a large corporate setting.
- Experience working with or managing third-party vendors/service providers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of project managers.

Principal Consultant (External, major consulting firm)
4-6 years as a Principal Consultant focused on BPO or operations transformationSkills to master
- Shifting from advisory to direct delivery accountability, managing a P&L, building and leading internal teams, and adapting consulting frameworks to our proprietary methodologies. Also, getting comfortable with the long-term commitment of managing ongoing client transitions.
You're ready to move on when
- Led significant client engagements focused on BPO strategy, process optimisation, or large-scale change programmes.
- Developed and presented strategic recommendations to C-suite clients.
- Managed engagement budgets and client expectations effectively.
- Experience in business development and identifying new client opportunities.
