- Developed and secured funding for at least two significant ECMs (e.g., HVAC upgrades, solar installations) with clear ROI.
- Consistently identified key trends and insights from portfolio-wide energy and waste data, presenting actionable recommendations.
- Recognised as a go-to expert for technical sustainability questions within the team.

3-5 years in roleSkills to master
- Deep operational understanding of building systems, budget management for facilities, contractor oversight, and experience driving efficiency initiatives at a site or small portfolio level.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully managed the operational budget for a significant property or cluster of properties, including energy and waste costs.
- Implemented energy or waste reduction initiatives that delivered measurable savings at a site level.
- Managed multiple facilities contractors, ensuring performance and compliance.
- Demonstrated a proactive approach to identifying and solving operational inefficiencies related to environmental performance.

Sustainability Consultant (from external firm)
Direct entry, assuming relevant experienceSkills to master
- Broad exposure to different sustainability frameworks and reporting standards, client management, project delivery for diverse clients, and strong analytical capabilities.
You're ready to move on when
- Managed multiple client engagements, delivering sustainability strategies or reporting for real estate portfolios.
