- Mastering end-to-end partnership management for complex projects, leading smaller workstreams, developing robust M&E plans, and informally mentoring junior colleagues. You'd also need to demonstrate strong internal influencing skills.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully managed a portfolio of 5+ complex partnerships with budgets over £50K.
- Consistently delivered programmes on time and within budget, with clear impact reporting.
- Received strong positive feedback from both NGO partners and internal stakeholders.
- Actively sought out opportunities to lead projects or mentor others, demonstrating leadership potential.

CSR Manager / Community Investment Manager (from another organisation)
5-8 years in a similar managerial role elsewhere.Skills to master
- Experience leading a small team, managing a portfolio of social impact programmes (not just NGO partnerships), and managing significant budgets. You'd need to adapt to our company culture and specific stakeholder landscape.
You're ready to move on when
- Proven track record of leading a team to deliver measurable social impact.
- Experience managing a budget of at least £250K+ for community programmes.
- Demonstrable ability to develop and execute a CSR strategy.
- Strong references from previous direct reports and senior leaders.

Senior Programme Manager (NGO Sector)
7-10 years experience in a senior programme management role within an NGO.Skills to master
- While you'll have deep NGO expertise, you'll need to develop a stronger understanding of corporate objectives, internal stakeholder management, and translating social impact into business value. Experience managing grants from corporate funders would be a plus.
You're ready to move on when
- Managed large, complex programmes (e.g., £500K+ budgets) for an NGO.
- Successfully managed relationships with corporate funders and reported on impact.
- Demonstrated ability to work across diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.
- A clear understanding of the commercial drivers behind corporate social responsibility.
