- Consistently delivers high-quality incident investigations with clear root causes and actionable recommendations.
- Successfully manages at least 2-3 H&S programmes independently, from planning to execution.
- Receives positive feedback from operational teams on H&S advice and support.
- Proactively identifies and proposes solutions to emerging safety issues, rather than just reacting.

From Operations Supervisor with H&S Focus
5-7 years as a Supervisor, with 2-3 years directly managing H&S responsibilities for their team.Skills to master
- Deep practical understanding of operational risks, strong leadership and team management skills, practical application of H&S procedures, and a proven track record of improving safety within their own team.
You're ready to move on when
- Has led incident investigations within their own department and implemented effective local corrective actions.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to hazard identification and risk control within their operational area.
- Has successfully coached and mentored team members on safe working practices.
- Understands the balance between operational demands and safety requirements from a frontline perspective.

From External H&S Consultant (Junior/Mid-level)
3-5 years in H&S consulting roles, with exposure to operational environments.Skills to master
- Adapting consulting experience to an in-house operational context, building strong internal stakeholder relationships, understanding our specific company culture and processes, and translating theoretical knowledge into practical, implementable solutions.
You're ready to move on when
- Can demonstrate successful project delivery in operational H&S for previous clients.
- Shows strong ability to integrate into a new organisational culture quickly.
- Has experience influencing without direct authority in complex client environments.
- Possesses a broad understanding of various operational H&S challenges.
